Stand and Deliver
supposed to teach computer science, put into a very roudy classroom
He decides that he wants to teach the students to the best of his ability
One student he calls finger is a trouble student, who has a group "gang" the get in a fight after class
One of "fingers" group member decides he wants to learn, the teacher gives him secret books so that he can study without Finger knowing. His nickname is "Hairnet"
The student who is top of his class soon is taken out by her father to wash dishes and work in his restaurant. The teacher goes to dinner with his wife and asks to speak to the owner, he tries to persuade him to allow her to continue attending class.
She soon comes to class prepared to learn.
The teacher begins teaching calc.
